Braeside Observatory is a small, but modern privately operated
astronomical research facility located five miles West of downtown Flagstaff,
Arizona at 7461 feet above sea level. Its business is to supply research data
to the astronomical community. While it does not have a "public" program, we
always welcome visitors for a tour and a talk of what we do here. A simple
contact is all that is required.
From in-town Flagstaff: Go west on W. Highway 66 about 5 miles. See the
"U.S. Naval Observatory" highway sign. Turn north (right turn) and go

an arrow. Turn there on the gravel road and follow the stars to Braeside
Observatory.
From I-40 interstate highway: From going either east or west on I-40,
go to Exit 191. You will see the "U.S. Naval Observatory" as above. Turn
north there and follow the above directions.
